Here are some tables to generate a weapon that is exceptional, and special, but not explicitly magical. At most, a little mystical. Roll for a weapon, what material it’s made of, and what school of smiths built it. You might have to think of some strange explanations for some combinations, but that’s half the fun.
As with all tables, feel free to just pick off the tables, use only a material or a school rather than both, or just draw some inspiration.

Expanded crit range, but can be shattered with bludgeoning hits

Brimstone Steel, a reddish black metal
Can be lit on fire, and will burn for an hour. Cannot be extinguished. Must be soaked in flammable liquid overnight to recharge.

Behemoth Bone, bones of a towering beast
Considered flesh, not metal

Ironwood, A rare ultrahard wood, that can hold an edge

Mythril, a mystical superlight metal
Half the weight.

Adamantine, the indestructible bones of the earth
Indestructible, and deals double damage to objects. Can be melted in dragonfire.

Shadow Guild Flipblades
Hidden in a functional arm prosthesis. Also known as “Healer’s Guild Prosthetics” to the public

Dwarven Dualforged
An alloy of two materials. Roll a second material, it has both effects

Alchemist’s Integrated Delivery System
Contains a hidden vial inside the hilt. A button coats the weapon in its contents. Has 3 uses before refilling.

Elven Bellforged
Will ring with distinctive tones when used to strike, and will sing with consecutive successful strikes. Great for morale.

Orcish Even-Carved
Balanced perfectly for throwing. Can be thrown if it can’t normally, and doubles the effective distance if it can (or if it is ranged).

Witchmade
Includes some carvings and a tassel of dried herbs. Can harm ghosts and other incorporeal foes
9
Cathedral
Pommel is a carving of a saint, and the blade was quenched in holy water. Effective against demons, and calming to a pious wielder.
